OUR STORY

In February of 2017, Pastor Meshach Soli was given the distinct and unique opportunity to present at the EHuddle Conference in Orlando Florida. His presentation would focus on why ethnic minorities, specifically young Pacific Islanders, were leaving the church at such an alarming rate. On the day of the conference, as he nervously put the final touches to his presentation, he overheard the speaker before him present statistics about the ethnic groups that comprised the North American Division of Seventh-day Adventists. A study done by  Collaboration 2.0 in 2015 Ethnic Statistics says that Native/Others represent the 2% of the ethnic make up of the NAD. Two Percent. In a division of 1.25 million members, Native/Others are a mere 25,000

In June of 2019 during the NAD Samoan SDA Camp-Meeting in Auburn Washington The Two Percent Story was shared, and by the leading of the Holy Spirit Pastors Rome Ulia, Nemaia Faletogo, and Ken “Mikey” Aiolupotea were impressed to cast a Vision for what this platform could mean for our Pacific Islander/Indigenous Communities in a more structured and intentional way. After much prayer and meeting together the following year (2020) The Two Percent Ministry became a reality.

God planted a seed that took a few years to DEVLiP. And just as God had used Gideon and the 300, God can also use the Two Percent to make an impact within our indigenous churches and communities to be a blessing to the larger communities around us.
